Repeat offender accused of stealing churchgoer’s car

A man with five prior convictions is back behind bars, this time accused of stealing a car from someone who let him charge his cell phone during church.
Thirty-seven-year-old derick evan hills, also known as Derick Baza Hills, was charged with theft of a motor vehicle after police say he drove off in a 2025 Hyundai Venue while the owner attended services at the Guam Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Court documents show Hills has a history of convictions ranging from theft to drug possession.
He's being held on $3,000 cash bail and faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
