A routine traffic stop in Yona turned into a major drug bust over the weekend.

Police say 65-year-old Jacinta Degracia and 27-year-old Jesus Phillip Cruz Cepeda were caught with multiple bags of meth, a digital scale, and cash bundled in hundreds.

Court documents state drug detector K9 “Drako” alerted officers to a pouch inside the vehicle, containing meth in several small baggies ready for distribution.

If convicted, degracia faces up to 25 years behind bars, while Cepeda could spend 18 years in prison.
