Guam - A new research study has been released in which biologists
from Rice University,
the University of Washington and the University of Guam
have found that the island's jungles have as many as 40 times more spiders than
are found on nearby islands like Saipan. The study examined how the loss of
forest birds is affecting the Guam's island
ecosystem.
According to online reports, the results are some of the first to
examine the indirect impact of the brown tree snake on Guam's
ecosystem.
