While the Department of Education has provided the necessary remedies in response to an October investigation of several employees at Simon Sanchez High School who were alleged to have subjected certain persons with developmental disabilities to ridicule, inappropriate sexual innuendos, and other inappropriate actions directed toward such individuals all constituting abuse, Guam Legal Services is still waiting on DOE's findings into the complaints.

Meantime, according to GLS director attorney Daniel Sommerfleck, the students continue to move forward at Simon Sanchez. However, GLS is now looking into the complaints of school nurses. DOE superintendent Juan Flores says he has not received any recent complaints.
