The search continues at this hour for a missing two-year-old boy who was last seen at a family party at Tanguisson Beach on Saturday afternoon. On land and at sea, the search for the missing toddler has been extensive. After his family reported him missing shortly before 9pm Saturday at the Dededo park, an extensive search was launched for Eric Tithium Wazthuth by the Guam Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division and SWAT agents, along with patrol units, the Guam Fire Department's Rescue Unit, the U.S. Coast Guard and the Navy's HC-5 unit.

And after searching through the night, crews were still at it this morning in hopes of finding the missing Yapese toddler. Guam Police Department spokesman Officer Allan Guzman told KUAM News, "It's very difficult at this time. We've been searching throughout the night and we're working with the fire department to do a very, very extensive search through the jungle, the beach area and even in the waters."

An AMBER Alert for Wazthuth was issued last night. The child stands at approximately 2'6" tall, and has short, black, wavy hair. Eric was last seen wearing a red ADIDAS-brand t-shirt with long blue quick-dry shorts. He was last seen between 8-8:30 at the northern beach.

Officer Guzman says there are no suspects identified at this time and that police and investigators have questioned individuals at the beach site. "We are asking anyone who has been down to the beach side during Saturday to please come forth and if you can provide any information regarding this child or any information regarding this case to give us a call immediately."

So while the search for Eric pushes on, Guzman reminds everyone on island to remain watchful over their children. "You must at all time supervise your siblings and the people that you're with at these parties, especially young kids that can wander off and endanger themselves," the officer warned.

Anyone with information in this case is urged to call the Guam Police at 472-8911 or Guam Crimestoppers 472-HELP (4357).
