Former powerhouse lobbyist Jack Abramoff has entered into a cooperation agreement with the Attorney General's Office and has already provided information related to criminal charges pending against former Superior Court Administrator Tony Sanchez.

Sanchez, also the former Chief of Staff of Governor Felix Camacho, pleaded not guilty in the Superior Court this morning. He is accused of improperly using more than $300,000 from the Superior Court for lobbying services as well as various expenses of the Greenberg Traurig law firm. The case against the firm was dismissed in April in return for their cooperation and the return of $324,000 to the judiciary.

Prosecutor Jeff Moots tells KUAM that in the next few weeks, the AG's Office will seek to have the criminal case against Abramoff dismissed without prejudice in return for his cooperation.
Assistant AG Moots said Abramoff has agreed to cooperate and has already provided information relating to the indictment as well as other information to prosecutors.

Abramoff is currently serving a federal sentence and is not scheduled to be released until 2011.
Sanchez is scheduled to appear back in court for a criminal trial setting on August 5.
