Registered Democrat Joseph Cameron has filed an official request and for a recount of the Democratic Party of Guam's caucuses held on April 26 in Inarajan and last Saturday. There were more than 500 spoiled ballots from this weekend's election. The final tally between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton separated them by just seven votes. Cameron, who was defeated in his election bid for party chairman, told KUAM News this morning he filed the request on his behalf and no one else.

Cameron and his running mate for vice-chairperson, Arlene Bordallo, have publicly supported Senator Clinton. According to a letter from Cameron to Democratic Party of Guam chairperson Tony Charfauros, he cited several concerns that prompted his request for a recount, among them:

- Missing ballots
- Who decided the format of the elections
- Ballots spoiled
- Decisions to change the constitution and bylaws without convention
- Printing of the ballots
- Who printed the ballots
- The inventory of the ballots printed
- Process of determining United States citizenship
- Republicans and other persons not listed on the official listing who voted on the elections
- Reporting of double registrations and voting
- Same day registering/same day voting
- An official workshop for precinct volunteers
- Workshop for counters on Election Day
- Electioneering
- Precinct official approvals of new membership

The Democratic Party of Guam's Central Executive Committee is expected to meet sometime this week to certify the results from Guam's caucuses.
