A memorial service will be held on Tuesday for a sailor who died from a gunshot wound at Camp Covington in Piti last week. Petty Officer 2nd Class Jared Krutke was a member of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 74, based out of Gulfport, Mississippi. Another sailor who was shot is listed in stable condition at the Naval Hospital. A third sailor from the same unit is behind bars at the brig at Andersen Air Force Base.

His name is not being released until formal charges are filed. A memorial service will be held at the chapel on Tuesday at two in the afternoon. Krutke will then be buried in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin.
