Tanker driver makes court appearance
A former Mobil Oil tanker driver accused of driving under the influence of drugs appeared in the Superior Court today for a further proceedings hearing. John Dean Queery was driving a Mobil Oil tanker back in February in Umatac when the vehicle overturned and caught ablaze.
The tanker fire destroyed three homes and vehicles along the street in the village. Querry was allegedly under the influence of crystal methamphetamine while he was driving the vehicle. A criminal trial setting is scheduled for January 26.
