
Guam - April has been declared Autism Awareness Month. Lieutenant Governor Mike Cruz signed a proclamation this afternoon dedicating next month to this worthy cause. Autism is a lifelong disability and results in significant impairment of an individual's ability to learn, develop social skills, and understand verbal and non-verbal communication.
Over a hundred people have been diagnosed with autism locally.
