Guam - Dozens of island residents with the We Are Guahan group and the Guam Boonie Stompers hiked the Pagat area over the weekend. The goal of the hike was to show people the land that the military plans to utilize for the impending buildup. Hiker Cara Flores Mays expressed her frustration knowing that the land holds significant cultural value.
"I was really disappointed to learn that the military intends to take that land and block access. It's somewhere that I'd like my daughter to be able to visit when she gets older," she said.
