Guåhan Sustainable Culture & Fam Farms invites community to a volunteer event

Guåhan Sustainable Culture is inviting the community to roll up their sleeves and dig into the future of food resilience at a special event hosted by GSC & Fam Farms.
The volunteer event is set for Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the GSC Food Resiliency Hub (formerly Hamamoto Fruit World) in Windward Hills, Yona.
This event is a great way to get your body moving while connecting with nature, as participants come together to prepare a portion of the farm to be used for community activities at the Fall Farmers Market happening on Oct. 25.
Planned activities include pumpkin patch fence building, sowing seeds for the fall season, and prepping the area for the Fall Farmers Market.
This event is free and open to the public. Families, youth groups, and volunteers of all experience levels are encouraged to attend.
