Guam Police Department gives high-fives for a safe school year

The Guam Police Department traded sirens for smiles Thursday morning, as officers welcomed Guam Department of Education students back for the first day of classes in School Year 2025-2026.
It's part of GPD’s “High-Five A Five-0” community initiative, starting bright and early at 7 a.m., officers fanned out to elementary, middle, and high school campuses across the island.
With every high-five, fist bump, and warm greeting, they helped set a positive tone for students, parents, and guardians.
GPD says it’s their way of showing support, building trust, and wishing everyone a safe and successful school year.
