In partnership with the Guam Department of Labor, the Governor and Lt. Governor are opening enrollment for the Year-Round In-School Youth Program beginning Aug. 10 through Sept. 15, 2025.

This program is a workforce readiness initiative aimed at helping high school students build career skills, gain exposure to the workplace, and receive paid hands-on experience, all while still in school.

“We are excited to open another round of this program that provides opportunities for our youth to succeed beyond the classroom,” said acting Governor Josh Tenorio. “Programs like this that bring workforce development directly to our students help us reach them early when they’re still exploring who they want to become.”

The Year-Round In-School Youth Program includes a two-week Winter Session and a one-week Spring Session focused on classroom-based instruction that provides courses in professional development, communications, customer service, and leadership training.

These sessions prepare students for a six-week paid Summer Internship where they are matched with a private sector employer to gain hands-on experience in real work settings. Students earn stipends during each session.

Interested students can apply online at bit.ly/inschoolyouth or speak to a school counselor to learn more about eligibility criteria and the program.
