Erratic driver arrested, charged with meth possession after early morning stop

A woman exhibiting suspicious behavior during a traffic stop was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance in the early morning hours of July 24.
According to court documents, GPD officers initiated a traffic stop at around 1:20 a.m. on a car driven by Rosanna Cabales.
Police say Cabales displayed erratic driving behavior and appeared visibly nervous when approached, struggling to provide her driver’s license and admitting she didn’t have one.
Officers noted that she was excessively fidgety, breathing heavily, avoiding eye contact, and repeatedly reaching between her seat and the center console despite verbal commands.
Due to her agitated behavior, officers removed Cabales from the vehicle. A pat-down and immediate visual scan of the driver’s area revealed a clear bag containing a white crystalline substance. A field test later confirmed the substance to be methamphetamine.
Cabales was placed under arrest and later charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance. After being read her Miranda rights, Cabales admitted the drugs were hers, saying she bought them from a woman and uses the substance but does not sell it.
She was booked and confined.
