July is Parks and Recreation Month. And DPR director Angel Sablan says that the agency has come a long way.  He says since he's taken the helm he has seen a big difference in all the divisions adding that employees are committed to putting out 110% to provide to the public.

"Our parks are cleaner, our recreational facilities are being used every single day, our SHPOs are processing applications faster than ever, our territorial park police they're out there, they are visible- they are making our parks and our beaches and recreations safe and they also assist other law enforcement. All our divisions all work together," he explained.

During this month sablan says that residents will be seeing more things coming out from DPR.

He said, "We're going to be going back, and enhancing and repairing the parks that have been destroyed by Mawar, the purchase orders will be coming out this month, during our parks month."

It is a great month according to Sablan and they continue to do what they can with what they have.
