Large-scale Air Force exercise with aircraft mobilized

A massive military mobilization is underway across the Pacific and Guam is front and center.
We’re sure many of you have been hearing the loud plane sounds over the past few days.
According to the Andersen Air Force Base website, Resolute Force Pacific, or REFORPAC 2025, is now in full swing, as U.S. Pacific Air Forces, along with multinational and joint partners, launch their most comprehensive contingency-response exercise to date.
The goal? Test the limits of readiness, sharpen warfighting skills, and prove the ability to rapidly disperse thousands of troops and equipment across the Indo-Pacific, even under stress.
From Hawai‘i to Japan, and right here on Guam, the month-long training operation puts aircrews and command teams to the test, loading munitions, Conducting air-to-air refueling, executing hot-pit rapid refuels, and coordinating aircraft operations under simulated attack conditions.
Colonel Dan Cooley, 36th Wing Commander at Andersen Air Force Base, says the activation of the 36th air expeditionary task force during REFORPAC showcases Guam’s vital role in projecting U.S. airpower.
And General Kevin Schneider, PACAF Commander, says the exercise is about more than tactics, it’s about proving that U.S. forces can adapt quickly, operate in austere environments, and fight through disruption.
With 350 aircraft and thousands of servicemembers participating, REFORPAC is not just about training, it's about preparing for tomorrow's fight, today.
