XO is the band many of you check out to end your week and kick off your weekend on a good note. XO is Joy James Ada, Sarge Eclavea, Mike Hartendorp, Rob San Agustin, and Mario Borro and for the past three years, the band never disappoints.

Ada explains how the band came to be coming out of COVID.

“Dusit Beach was actually closed down for all gigs when they were ready to reopen, I got a call asking for a band for the Bambu Bar. And we had two weeks to put together,” said Ada.

Ada assembled her dream crew and had to come up with a name.

“We came up with XO, it doesn't mean anything, it's just one of those names that were our only option. It sounded ok,” Ada added.

KUAM begs to differ. XO actually means 'Great music and a great time.'  And you will see for yourself when the band is set to open for Maoli during the Hafaloha Concert Series Part 4 happening on July 5 at the Ypao Beach Park!

“We want to shout out to the Hafaloha Concert Series. Thank you for the opportunity to be able to open for this incredible event. For us, we have a great line up for you. We got some country jams, some classics, we got some Chamorro there too, and close out with what we do best- classic rock. That everybody loves,” said Ada.

and if there's anything ada wants to get out, “We want to shout out to the people who are going to be sharing the stage with us- friends Jen and Stella on background vocals, Isabella Santiago on backup vocals, we got Fantaysha, and Hale' Peter Cruz is gonna be here and gonna be seeing a tune with us. We hope you guys come on down, it's gonna be a great show,” added Ada.
