A new chapter begins at the U.S. Coast Guard Station Apra Harbor.

In a formal change of command ceremony held at Naval Base Guam, Senior Chief Petty Officer Kyle Breen-Tapia officially assumed command from outgoing Officer-in-Charge Senior Chief Petty Officer Jeremy Jarvis.

Under Jarvis’s leadership since 2022, Station Apra Harbor achieved major milestones, spearheading recovery efforts after Super Typhoon Mawar, reopening the Port of Guam in just 72 hours, and coordinating over 120 search and rescue cases.

Now, incoming officer Breen-Tapia takes the helm, bringing years of experience in small boat operations, coastal security, and interagency coordination.

With a proven track record and the station’s dedicated crew, USCG Station Apra Harbor remains mission-ready to serve and protect Guam’s waters and the broader Pacific region.
