The Guam Police Department has arrested Joel Inos in connection with a break-in at Uptown Grill last week.

Officers with the Dededo Precinct Command responded to the restaurant on the morning of June 25 after a report of a burglary.

The business owner shared surveillance footage on social media, which quickly circulated online. That’s when members of a neighborhood watch group recognized the suspect and alerted authorities.

Police followed up on the tip and located inos in Mongmong. During questioning, he confessed to the crime.

Inos was arrested on charges of burglary, criminal mischief, and theft of property.

He was booked and confined to the Department of Corrections. The case has been forwarded to the Office of the Attorney General for prosecution.

Police credit the community for helping close this case quickly.
