PUC approves flat LEAC rate through January 2026

Relief is on the way for Guam’s power customers—starting August, you’ll see smaller numbers on your energy bill. The Public Utilities Commission has just approved a new flat LEAC rate—dropping from over $0.20 to just $0.15-and-a-half per kilowatt-hour. That means an average savings of more than $50 over six months.
The move aims to bring stability as fuel prices remain unpredictable, and as the Ukudu Power Plant gets ready to flip the switch later this year. GPA says it's a step toward more reliable, affordable power for the island
