The month of July brings another exciting and educational round of summer camps from the 4-H Program under University of Guam Cooperative Extension & Outreach.

Week-long summer camps are available in morning or afternoon sessions for children ages 6 to 14. 

All of the camps will be instructed by subject-matter experts from UOG and the community, who will deliver university-modeled curriculum with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning. 

The topics and curriculum, from chemistry, art, and math to agriculture, nature, and traditional island wisdom are designed to help youth develop skills and interests that can help them become confident and contributing members of society.  

Camps for ages 6–10:

  • July 7–11 (8 a.m. – Noon): Imagination Art Explorers
  • July 7–11 (1 p.m. – 5 p.m.): Mini Math Explorers
  • July 7–11 (1 p.m. – 5 p.m.): Crazy Chemistry
  • July 14–18 (8 a.m. – Noon): Imagination Art Explorers
  • July 14-18 (8 a.m. – Noon): Kids in the Kitchen: Food Drying
  • July 14–18 (1 p.m. – 5 p.m.): Smart Snacks Lab Explorers
  • July 14–18 (1 p.m. – 5 p.m.): Crazy Chemistry

Camps for ages 11–14:

  • June 30–July 3 (8 a.m. – Noon): Sustainable Agriculture + Entomology
  • June 30–July 3 (1 p.m. – 5 p.m.): Crime Scene Investigation
  • July 7-11 (8 a.m. – Noon): Insects — The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
  • July 7-11 (1 p.m. – 5 p.m.): Repiyer Remosuwe (Wisdom of Our Ancestors)
  • July 14–18 (8 a.m. – Noon): Beats and Bytes with Python
  • July 14–18 (1 p.m. – 5 p.m.): Exploring the Art of Math
