Officially saving the date for July 7, the Committee on Finance and budget is resuming their public hearing on Bill No. 11, aiming to reduce the Business Privilege Tax from 5% to 4%.

And they're inviting Guam's private sector and the general public to attend or submit written testimony.

With the hearing slated to run from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., Chairman of the Committee, Senator Christopher Dueñas says, “We know how hard it is to find time to testify and that’s why we’re giving business owners and the public this extended window.”

The Office of Finance and Budget will also be present to share a detailed impact analysis, grounding discussion and debate in financial reality and community input supported by clear data.

Dueñas adds, “The committee needs your input before moving forward, and we’re committed to a fair, open, and data-driven process.”

Once again, if you would like to attend or submit written testimony on Bill No. 11, the hearing will take place on July 7th, starting at 2 p.m..

Please contact Senator Shawn Gumataotao's office at (671)647-1409/1411 to submit any written testimony.
