Man accused of stalking and home invasion despite protective order

A man accused of harassing a woman known to him, despite a court order to stay away, is now facing serious charges.
Brian William Elm is charged with home invasion, advanced stalking, criminal mischief, and multiple violations of a protective order.
According to court documents, Elm repeatedly contacted and showed up at the woman’s home, even after being explicitly prohibited from doing so.
In one incident, he allegedly shattered a car window while the woman and her children were inside. In another, he’s accused of breaking into her home, despite minors confirming he wasn’t invited.
Elm told police he was acting out of emotion but investigators say his actions went far beyond that, documenting harassment, threats, and multiple confrontations.
Elm admitted to being aware of the protective order but continued to pursue contact.
He now faces multiple felony charges and could see serious prison time if convicted.
