Islanders react to B-2 bombers reportedly deployed to Guam

Island residents reacted to global events unfolding over the weekend with eyes fixed on our shores following reports of B-2 stealth bombers deploying to the island.
One island resident, Francine Meno from Dededo, shared she’s, “just so scared.”
Defense officials have since confirmed that the move was designed to maintain tactical surprise, as the main strike package, seven B-2 spirit bombers, headed east.
“Tonight I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success, Iran's key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated,” said U.S. President Donald Trump.
In a Pentagon briefing to discuss the U.S. strikes in Iran, Air Force General Dan Caine revealed that the planes sent west over the Pacific “were a deception effort known only to an extremely small number of planners and key leaders.”
Local officials, apparently, are not among them.
“They’re doing their best—it depends on what the military gives them. If the military gives them BS—then all they’re gonna spread out is BS. It all depends on the military—if they give the truth, and then they give it to us—then we’ll be well informed,” said resident Tony Duenas.
“They can’t tell us everything immediately—because it wouldn’t be secret. I don’t think we should be getting preemptive notice of that kind of stuff,” added Brian, another Dededo resident.
Meanwhile, U.S. citizens are also sounding off on the U.S.' involvement in the escalating conflict as backlash grows from Americans who feel the President broke his promise to avoid long, drawn-out wars.
“If their information is correct that they were that far in the enrichment of uranium…Get rid of that bomb so they don’t get those capabilities,” added Duenas.
“I think they need to do what they need to do to remove the risk,” said Brian.
“I do pray for the war yesterday at church—and I was crying because I want God to stop the war,” added Meno. “When I pray, I pray for the whole world to have peace and to stop the war because we have kids.”
Now the world braces as Iran has vowed to respond, saying, “It reserves all options.”
