What started as a routine traffic stop quickly turned into something much more serious. Police pulled over a black Toyota Corolla Tuesday morning for a fraudulent license plate—but the driver ended up facing drug charges as well.

Officers discovered that the plate actually belonged to a different vehicle—a Toyota Prius. Behind the wheel was 30-year-old Austin James Barcinas, who was arrested at the scene. But the investigation didn’t stop there.

A search of the car turned up three glass pipes and two bags filled with a crystal-like substance—hidden inside a black bandoleer stashed in the glove compartment. Field tests confirmed the substance was likely methamphetamine.

Barcinas now faces felony drug possession charges, along with a misdemeanor for driving a car without proper identification.
