Man Accused of Stealing Bag, Using Stolen Cards, and Possessing Meth

A relaxing morning swim at Gun Beach took a criminal turn for one woman after her bag—containing phones, keys, and credit cards—vanished while she was in the water. Prosecutors say 29-year-old Roby Saret not only stole the bag but wasted no time using the stolen credit cards to buy drinks, cigarettes, vapes, and electronics at stores in Upper Tumon.
A store clerk recognized saret when he came back for more and alerted police. Officers tracked him down, finding the victim’s cards and ID in his possession—along with meth and drug paraphernalia in his backpack.
Saret admitted to the theft and using the cards, telling police he took the bag and left the phones behind in his broken-down car.
He now faces multiple felony charges, including theft, identity theft, and drug possession.
