Woman accused of using a dead woman's credit card

A woman already facing charges for drug possession is in trouble with the law yet again.
Forty-two-year-old Estephany Marie Gagan Reyes is now charged with fraudulent use of a credit card, a third-degree felony, along with theft by receiving stolen property.
According to court documents, police say Reyes used a bank card belonging to a woman who had recently passed away, making purchases totaling more than $250 at two locations.
Investigators believe the card may have been stolen during a burglary at the victim’s home.
Surveillance footage from a gas station helped officers track down the car used in the crime, registered to Reyes' cousin. When police pulled him over, he claimed Reyes had borrowed the vehicle.
Reyes later admitted to police she used the card, knowing it was likely stolen.
She remains free on pre-trial release from an earlier drug case and has prior convictions for retail theft and forgery.
