Guam’s senatorial delegation is back from a productive trip to Washington, D.C., earning praise and making progress on key federal issues.

Vice Speaker Tony Ada, Senator Vince Borja, and Senator Shelly Calvo met with over a dozen agencies and congressional offices, tackling critical topics like education funding, CHamoru language revitalization, cultural tourism, and infrastructure needs in the south.

The lawmakers say face-to-face engagements helped rebuild trust, open new doors, and advance solutions for Guam.

Borja says he’ll be proposing modernized policies to better manage federal education funds, while Calvo says the trip secured ongoing support for language and health programs.

The delegation paid for the trip out of pocket, calling it a personal investment in Guam's future.

The senators also joined Congressman James Moylan at the National History Day Awards, where Guam students were recognized on a national stage.
