Electric Island Festival returns to Hagatna for its 12th season

Just four days are left until Electric Island Festival 2025, the longest-running music festival in the region, now in its 12th year.
The festival is back at the Plaza de Espana in Hagatna for its second year in a row.
And for the first time in nearly a decade, there will be two stages. Plus new music that will pave the road for the festival’s future.
“EIF is an event that is constantly adapting. We want to showcase as much electronic music as possible. We hit up a group who wanted to showcase a different sound that we haven’t been pushing as much–which is bass and dubstep, which is going to be the future of EIF,” EIF Founder Jia Wang said.
“IF has been mostly house and EDM– what I mean by EDM is more on the mainstream side of dance music. Like Clarity by Zed. I’m sure everyone on the island has heard of that song, it’s been over-played by every radio station during the peak of EDM for Guam. We are shifting it to, I guess, heavier music, more head-banging and it’s also aligned with how the island is adapting as well,” said Wang.
International DJ’s Botcash, Risa Taniguchi, and FTK will be making their EIF debut, bringing new sounds from Thailand, Japan and Taiwan.
And local favorites Noah Juan, Lil Meish, DJ Samurai, Straightupjed, B2B, and Iz Will bring the unique island vibes.
“What you can expect is music you have never heard of, music that you don’t hear on the radio, music that is not even on your radar of Spotify. The whole idea of EIF is to open up your mind and try something different,” said Wang.
Wang says EIF’s platform is all about being non-judgemental and it’s something you’ll have to experience and be present for yourself.
“So the narrative of this entire journey is ‘be open-minded.’ Come and experience something new and different. If it’s for you, great and if it’s not, at least you can say that you did it and tried it and it’s not for you. And carry on,” added Wang.
Tickets are on sale at guamtime.net and posh.vip.
EIF Week kicks off at the Hilton on Tuesday, where there’ll be pop-ups where you can purchase discounted tickets.
