Bomb threat suspect apologizes — Faces up to 42 Years

New details have emerged in the arrest of Kevin Ventura Galvez, the 29-year-old linked to multiple bomb threats across Guam, including the Governor’s Complex, supermarkets, and hotels over the course of two days
According to the magistrate complaint, Galvez admitted to making the threats while intoxicated, claiming he didn’t realize the seriousness of his actions. He told police the calls were made as a prank, and in a written statement said he and a friend “didn’t mean to do it” and are “sorry to Guam.”
The threats triggered lockdowns, evacuations, and panic — disrupting businesses, workers, and first responders across the island.
Detectives and task force agents tracked a blocked number to Galvez, who was arrested in Dededo and found with a cellphone used in the threats.
He now faces serious charges:
* 8 counts of Terroristic Conduct (Felony)
* 8 counts of False Alarm
* 8 counts of Making a False Report
* 1 count of Obstructing Government Functions
Plus: Special Allegation – Crime Against the Community
The Attorney General’s Office is calling on the public to help identify the “friend” Galvez says was involved.
“It will be much better for that person to come forward now than be found through our ongoing investigation,” said AG Douglas Moylan.
If convicted, Galvez faces up to 42 years in prison.
