IOC president shares future vision for sport as Guam hosts assembly

President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach led a prosperous discussion for the Oceanic National Olympic Committees Annual General Assembly at the Nikko in Tumon. Attendees came from across Oceania, discussing matters of financial management, solidarity, and the Olympic movement.
Known as the most powerful man in global sports, President Bach oversaw discussions and shared the vision for athletic competition in the future, among a panel of delegates that included Australia and New Zealand.
Team Guam and the various sports federations under the GNOC are preparing for the Pacific Mini-Games in Palau this summer, with the 2028 Olympics being in Los Angeles and the 2032 games in Brisbane.
Bach, whose term leading the IOC ends this month, last visited Guam in 2019.
