Archdiocese mourns the passing of Sister Mary McAuley Paulino

The Archdiocese of Agaña is mourning the loss of a beloved religious servant.
Sister Mary McAuley Paulino, a devoted member of the Sisters of Mercy, entered eternal rest on May 8. She was 90 years old and served nearly 72 years in religious life.
Born Teresita San Nicolas Paulino in Inarajan, she was one of twelve children, four of whom answered the call to religious vocation.
Known for her compassionate spirit and deep faith, Sister McAuley was an educator, a mentor, and a beacon of mercy in Guam's catholic community.
She served at schools including Cathedral Grade School, Santa Barbara, St. Anthony, and Bishop Baumgartner, and taught faith formation at 14 parishes throughout the island.
A nightly rosary and mass are being held this week at St. Anthony Church in Tamuning, with rosary at 5:30 and mass at 6 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 16 at the Cathedral-Basilica in Hagatña. The mass of christian burial begins at 11:30 a.m., followed by inurnment on Monday, May 19 at Pigo Catholic Cemetery in Anigua.
