Tragedy struck around 3am Sunday morning at the intersection of Route 16 and Bello Road, where a car crashed and caught fire.

According to Guam Fire Department Spokesperson Lt. Nick Garrido, when firefighters arrived, the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames and immediately extinguished.

One person was found inside and did not survive.

The road is closed as Guam Police are now investigating the cause of the crash.
