It's been quite humid and warm the past few days and the weather watchers over in Tiyan at the National Weather Service are projecting more heat ahead. With the reduced cloud cover lately, the sun had been beating down on islanders, with the Heat Index consistently between 96 and 100 degrees during the day's hottest time.

Now, because of this a Red Flag Warning is in effect through Friday afternoon, meaning fire weather conditions are possible and could spread rapidly.
