The CNMI Department of Public Safety is scheduling DUI Sobriety Checkpoints beginning Monday, Dec. 30 and Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024.

Monday’s checkpoints will be established on Chalan Pale Arnold Puerto Rico to Garapan from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

A secondary checkpoint will be set up along Chalan Monsignor Guerrero Chalan Kiya to Dan Dan from 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Tuesday’s checkpoint will be set up on Beach Road Susupe to Chalan Lau Lau from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Another along Beach Road Chalan Lau Lau to Garapan from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and a third one on Micro Beach Road, Garapan, from 10:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.

These checkpoints are to deter, detect, and apprehend impaired drivers and promote road safety.
