Governor declares Christmas Eve a Government of Guam holiday

Governor Lou Leon Guerrero is set to sign an Executive Order declaring Christmas Eve a Government of Guam holiday.
In consideration of government employees during the busy holiday season, Governor Lou Leon Guerrero says this will give people the gift of extra time to spend with their families, as well as prepare for the holiday.
The governor adds, "Christmas is a time to reflect on the blessings we share and to connect with those who matter most. This executive order gives our hardworking employees the gift of time—to create cherished memories with loved ones."
Lieutenant Governor Joshua Tenorio seconds the sentiment. He says, “The declaration continues a tradition of recognizing the importance of family and community during the holidays. This extra day is an opportunity to extend goodwill, care for our neighbors, and celebrate the unity that defines our island."
