A new Marshal of the Courts has officially taken the reins.

Leo S. Diaz was sworn in Monday by Chief Justice Robert J. Torres during a ceremony. Diaz’s appointment, unanimously approved by the Judicial Council last week, caps more than three decades of service to the Judiciary.

With a degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Guam and certifications in pressure tactics, tasers, and active shooter response, Diaz has trained law enforcement across the region.

His leadership is expected to enhance court security and public trust in the judicial system.

Chief Justice Torres praised Diaz’s long-standing commitment to safeguarding the courts.

Torres added, “Under his leadership, the marshal services division will continue to deliver security and justice for all."
