The Guam Council on the Arts and Humanities is calling on the community for nominations to receive the Guam Masters Award: Guam National Treasure.

It recognizes master practitioners for their artistry, craftsmanship, and continuing efforts to preserve the island’s history and cultural traditions.

Officials noted of the 75 practitioners awarded the title of master, only 12 masters are alive today.

The deadline to submit nominations is Aug. 30.

Packets are being accepted at the CAHA office in the DNA building in Hagatna, Suite 202.
