A Navy sailor who failed to register as a sex offender learned his fate in federal court.

Michael Yan Tajan was sentenced to serve 10 months in a federal correctional institution at terminal island in San Pedro, California.

He was sentenced before Chief Judge Frances Tydingco-Gatewood in the District Court of Guam.

As KUAM reported, he was convicted of recording lewd images of fellow sailors in Guam four years ago.

He pleaded guilty to the charge of failing to register as a sex offender.

Tajan will also serve five years under supervised release.
