The boil water notice in three central villages has been lifted.

The Guam Waterworks Authority, with the concurrence of Guam Environmental Protection Agency, announced at 11 am Saturday that they are terminating the notice.

Officials confirmed that following the repair to the system, restoration to normal water pressures and laboratory testing at designated sampling locations, customers in this portion of the water system may now resume normal use of the water being supplied.

GWA’ s laboratory testing of the restored portion of the water system confirms the water is safe to drink.

GWA is letting customers in the affected area know that tests confirm no bacteria in the system, and customers no longer need to boil your water.

The community for the notice Friday that GWA found traces of E.coli in the water well that services the three villages.

The notice led to multiple businesses in those villages having to cease certain water-related operations to include washing hands at the sink.

The Sinajana Mayors Office also reached out to Guam Homeland Security to secure boxes of water to hand out to residents.
