A brief disruption during talks on a measure dealing with Guam Power Authority revenue bonds. The fashion police were down at the Guam Legislature during session Wednesday.

This as Senator Tom Fisher was present and in a t-shirt with the slogan ‘Trump is a traitor.’

The statement did not sit well for his colleague sitting right next to him. Sen. Telo Taitague called for him to be removed from the session floor.

But Fisher argued his first amendment right allowed him the opportunity to wear the shirt.

Taitague said, “Point of order Mr. Chair is there is an individual in this body that is breaking our rules and needs to be escorted out. So I ask that we recess while this individual is taking out for breaking the rules of this body.”

And Fisher said, “The whole point of the exercise, it seems kind of funny and a little bit of drama in the legislature. But the whole point of the event was to illustrate that a man who has betrayed the constitution and betrayed the country is a viable candidate for President again. Even though he has no loyalty to the United States.”

Former President Trump’s ‘hush money’ trial is underway in a Manhattan courtroom.

The house rules on attire were suspended Wednesday to allow senators to dress for denim day showing they stand in solidarity with sexual assault survivors and victims.

Sen. Fisher put on a denim jacket and the hearing continued.

Senators will vote Friday afternoon.

Meantime, you can hear more of our interview with Senator Fisher next Wednesday on The Hub.
