A couple of drug-related proposals are set to go up for a public hearing on Monday.

Bill 239 proposes harsher punishment and increases fines for those convicted in trafficking and manufacturing meth and fentanyl.

The other measure up for discussion, Bill 6 would create the responsible cannabis user employment act.

The measure would put an end to marijuana drug testing as a condition of employment, housing, education or government services, unless required by federal law.

Separately, senators will also be holding a public hearing monday morning on Bill 183.

The measure would increase sentencing requirements for anyone convicted of first- and second-degree criminal sexual conduct involving children 12 and under.
