GovGuam and the Governor are being sued for the take-over of the American Medical Clinic during the COVID pandemic.

The lawsuit by AMC seeks more than $2-million in compensation for services it said it was compelled to provide during the nearly 3-year long public health emergency.

AMC alleged that in response to the Governor's executive powers, and under the threat of license termination, it had to accept all COVID patients regardless of ability to pay.

The clinic also alleged it provided the mandated services and supplies without just compensation, receiving just $20,000 dollars in payment throughout the 34-month pandemic.

The Governor's office said it's still reviewing the complaint.

AMC owner, Dr. Hoa Nguyen is currently traveling and said he will provide a statement early next week.

Nguyen is the former Chairman of the Governor's Physician's Advisory group, but after stepping down has been critical of the administration's COVID response.
