Don Edquilane, who formerly ran for senator, has passed away. Running under the republican ticket in the 2020 general election, Edquilane's passing was confirmed by the party today in a statement (see below).

The party indicated that Edquilane, a pro-life advocate, was to seek election again in the upcoming Decision 2024 primary this August, and that they were assisting him in preparing for his campaign.

Edquilane was also a member of the Mongmong-Toto-Maite Organization.
