Yona resident, Liza Concepcion Quinata, is facing serious charges after being accused of running a methamphetamine operation from residence, which authorities say is located within a school zone.

Quinata is being charged with conspiracy to distribute five or more grams of meth and distribution near a school, according to a complaint filed in the District of Guam on Tuesday.

The investigation against Quinata was initiated following an undercover operation involving a confidential source. The investigation, which began in March of the previous year, culminated in a raid conducted by Homeland Security Investigators on Monday.

According to court documents, the source was picked up by a teenager and taken to Quinata's residence near Saint Francis Catholic School in Yona. During which they discovered jewelry and other items believed to have been exchanged for drugs. Allegedly, Quinata provided the source with seven grams of methamphetamine to sell before leaving the residence.

That’s when authorities, along with Homeland Security investigators stormed the residence, finding meth, guns, drug paraphernalia, and electronic devices.

Quinata is scheduled to appear in Federal Court on November 14th.
