Traffic stop reveals drugs, gun in vehicle

A man was arrested after he was allegedly caught with drugs, a glass pipe and a gun during a traffic stop.
Richard Eugene III Valentine, 35, also known as Richard Eugene Valentine III, Richard Eugene Vakentine was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance, possession of a firearm without a firearm identification card and fraudulent use or forgery of a license plate.
According to a magistrate's complaint, Guam Police Department officers pulled over Valentine as he was driving in Asan Sunday.
He handed the officer a registration for a different car and claimed to own the car.
Valentine was then directed to exit the vehicle and attempted to take a black pouch with him.
Valentine claimed that there was "just a registered firearm" and "an ice pipe" inside the car," court documents state. He also told the officer that he does not have a valid firearms ID card, court documents state.
Officers allegedly found a shotgun and glass pipe in the car. The pipe was tested positive for methamphetamine.
