The woman accused in the killing of a Guam Army National Guard veteran allegedly planned to leave the island.

The murder was apparently drug-related.

Forty-six-year-old Cynthia Rose Quinata is charged with aggravated murder and guilty by complicity. The case surrounds the brutal killing of Jason Susuico. His body was found badly decomposed in the jungle area on Route 15 in Yigo back in January.

It was a police informant that led investigators to Quinata.

Authorities confirmed the arrest on Tuesday.

According to court documents, Quinata allegedly told authorities she was planning to leave Guam because of her involvement in Susuico’s homicide.

Investigators learned Quinata allegedly lured Susuico to her home in Pagat, Mangilao to smoke meth.

The informant allegedly said Quinata admitted to bringing him there for a "beat down" to retaliate in connection to an apparent drug deal gone wrong.

The alleged incident occurred in the back bedroom where Susuico took his final breath.

Ssusuico died from blunt force trauma.

police showed up just in time to find Quinata packing a suitcase with a plane ticket to leave the island.

At the time, she allegedly denied having to do anything with the murder.

During a search, officers found large traces of blood on the walls and floors in a bedroom.

Officers also arrested Justin Perez at the home on an outstanding warrant. Prison records show he was previously arrested for separate cases involving forgery and drugs. There's no word yet if Perez is being connected to Susuico’s murder.

Prosecutors want her bail set at $1 million. If convicted, Quinata faces life in prison.
