Residents are being asked not to bring any typhoon waste to the previously selected disposal site at the DYA Cottage Homes in Talo’fo’fo’. Officials with the Joint Information Center confirmed with KUAM Tuesday morning that the ground is too soggy, and it is no longer a good staging site for debris.

The community is being directed to the three typhoon debris sites located at the Dededo Transfer Station, Ypao Point in Tamuning, and the former Tiyan carnival grounds in Barrigada. The sites are accepting household trash, household hazardous waste, white goods and appliances, metals, electronic waste, green waste, and wood waste and construction waste.

Abandoned cars and boats will not be accepted.

The locations will remain open seven days a week from 6 am to 6 pm.

Residents are asked to presort and segregate the waste before transporting it to the disposal sites.
