Health certificate renewals are being deferred until the Department of Public Health and Social Services can reopen its Division of Environmental Health’s Processing Center.

Officials said the processing center remains closed due to the impacts suffered from Typhoon Mawar.

Applications for new and renewal health certificates are not being accepted or processed at this time.

DPHSS officials announced health certificates set to expire between May 22 and June 23 will continue to be valid until June 23.

Additionally, Refresher and Interim Food Safety Health Certificate training courses have been rescheduled.

Employers who have an interim-new health certificate must be overseen by a manager or supervisor with a manager’s certification to ensure these employees are given proper supervision in food safety practices while at work.
